Nonprofit Organizations involved in conservation and restoration of photographic archives having cultural value can get a free version of AKVIS software.

Please note that only the licenses to photo retouching and colorizing tools are free, as they are directly applied in restoration work! Other types of software (i.e. software for special effects) are offered with a discount.

• Your work must be created with AKVIS software and must demonstrate the features of AKVIS software.
• Step by step instructions. Literary descriptions are welcome! You can include your Customer Success Story.
• Send all images as separate files: an original image, a result, and screenshots of the steps.
• You must have rights to use these images, and you authorize us to publish your images and text.
• The tutorial must have aesthetic value, be motivating.
• It must be unique. Please do not duplicate our tutorials.

Compress all files in an archive (zip or rar) and send us at info@akvis.com.

You can use any AKVIS tutorial as a sample, for example this one.

Your tutorial can be made in any language.

Video tutorials do not necessarily need to be accompanied by a voice that explains how the image was processed. If the images are inspiring and one can understand the procedure from the images, you can just add music to it.

AKVIS Sketch is an application which allows you to apply several effects to your favorite image files.

The interface of the program is plain and simple to navigate through. Images can be imported via the file browser only, because the 'drag and drop' method is not supported. Batch processing is allowed.

So, you can make a selection on the picture and apply various effects, such as watercolor, charcoal, coloration, smudging, strokes and edges, as well as choose a preset.

On top of that, you can change the background mode (sketch, sketch and photo, sketch and blur), add text and configure settings (e.g. font style and size, text, outline and glow color, position), and use a canvas (configure texture properties – repetition, reflection, alignment – and parameters - brightness, embossing, distortion).

In addition, you can check out the 'before' and 'after' images, as well as zoom in and out of a navigator, use the undo and redo functions, and more.

The simple-to-use program runs on a very high amount of system resources, contains a comprehensive step-by-step guide with snapshots and can be easily used by individuals of all levels, whether they are beginners or experienced. The sketch effects have a very good quality. We strongly recommend AKVIS Sketch to all users.
